What we collect

MeroSwar collects the minimum information required to operate:

• Pilot leads: Name, phone/WhatsApp number, your role (parent/therapist/teacher), and child age range — collected only when you voluntarily submit the pilot sign-up form.
• Anonymous usage analytics: If you opt in via the parent settings gate, we collect aggregate counts (sessions, phrases spoken, category navigation) tagged to a random, device-generated install ID — not to your name or phone number. We never collect the child's name, location, or any health information.
• Push notification subscriptions: If you opt in via the settings panel, we store a browser push endpoint to deliver content updates. You can unsubscribe at any time from settings.

What we do not collect

• Child's name, photo, voice, or health records
• Device identifiers (IMEI, advertising IDs)
• Location data
• Third-party tracking pixels or ad SDK data

How we use your data

Pilot contact details are used solely to reach out about MeroSwar pilot access. We do not send marketing emails or sell your contact information. Anonymous usage analytics are used internally to improve the app and support grant/clinical reporting.

Data storage

Pilot lead data is stored in a Cloudflare D1 database hosted in the Asia-Pacific region. Anonymous usage rollups are stored in the same database. Communication cards and audio are stored on the device after first install — no child usage data leaves the device unless anonymous analytics are explicitly opted in by the parent.

Data retention

Pilot lead records are retained for up to 24 months after collection or until you request deletion. Anonymous analytics rollups are retained for up to 12 months. Push subscriptions are removed within 7 days of opt-out or immediately upon request.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us via WhatsApp or email and we will respond within 30 days.

Children's privacy

MeroSwar is designed to protect children's privacy by design. The app does not collect any identifiable information about the child using it. All communication card usage is stored locally on the device. The pilot sign-up form is intended for parents, therapists, and educators — not children.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change our data practices, we will update this page and, where possible, notify pilot participants via the phone number they provided.
